I’m honored to be recognized by Sankofa.org alongside fellow honorees Chuck D, Danny Glover, and Dolores Huerta at this charitable event. I’ve been friends with Gina Belafonte for years and seen firsthand how committed she is to the social justice principles that her father embodied.
This VIP cultural salon brings artists together in conversation to share the origins of their work and perform the songs that have helped move movements. Through an immersive, wireless headphone experience, guests are invited inside the music, the stories, and the purpose behind the art.
All proceeds support Sankofa.org, the social justice arts organization founded by Harry Belafonte, continuing its mission to harness storytelling, music, and culture as tools for justice and connection.
