Painter and graphic novelist, ERIC DROOKER is the award-winning author of Flood! A Novel in Pictures and Blood Song. His paintings are frequently seen on covers of The New Yorker, and he recently designed the animation for the film Howl, a movie starring James Franco, based on the epic poem by Allen Ginsberg, who collaborated with Drooker on the book Illuminated Poems.
Born and raised in Manhattan, Drooker’s art chronicled an era of building squats and street battles. His album covers for Rage Against the Machine, Faith No More, and Propagandhi are legendary.  Mr. Drooker will explore his early years as a street artist in New York City, trace the evolution of his graphic novels into animation, and discuss his experiences creating street posters, covers for The New Yorker and his “infiltration of the mainstream” – told through the projection of hundreds of stunning images.
