I just realized that today is the 30th anniversary of the day I met Jason Filipow (and won Charleston’s first street skating contest). Jason and I bonded over skateboarding, music, and stencil-making. We stayed friends for all these years, and after I had done an art show at his space in Savannah Ga., he came out to LA to work with me. He still works with me part time as an amazing art assistant, but also has his own D.I.Y., garage brand (literally printed in his garage) called P1 Brand. Thank you for being a great friend and such an important part of my art for all of these years Jason!
