Winner of the 2018 Best Music On Walls Mural!

I completed this 15-story Johnny Cash mural with my crew last year in August for Wide Open Walls and Branded Arts. The art is based on a photo by Jim Marshall, which I used originally as part of my American Civic series. I wanted to paint this portrait of Johnny Cash on a large scale, not only as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Cash’s Live at Folsom Prison album, but also in the hopes to ignite a conversation around the need for incarceration reform.
