The Black Cat

Embrace Justice. A simple message for a complex problem. Thanks to one of my favorite restaurants in Silver Lake, The Black Cat, for the wall space and shared philosophy. The Black Cat is a historic LGBTQ+ bar in Los Angeles, where it was the site of one of the first demonstrations in the U.S. protesting police harassment within the LGBTQ+ community. I’m proud to get my art up on their wall, especially during #PrideMonth. Thanks to Rob Zagula, Luka Densmore, and Jason Filipow for the help with facilitation and installation! -Shepard
