As we are still battling the current fires here in Los Angeles, I want to thank everyone who supported the Re-Build / Re-Think letterpress sales. This is the largest letterpress edition I’ve ever made, and it’s for a great cause, to help out the people who make up this incredible city. Like most Angelenos, I know several people who have been affected: lost studios, lost homes, entire art collections, personal career archives, etc. The devastation is overwhelming. By releasing this print, we raised enough money to send funds to the American Red Cross, the California Arts Council, and the California Community Foundation over the coming days.
Our printing partners, Aardvark Letterpress, are also local and generously printing this edition at a reduced rate.
On the topic of incredible people in the creative community, my good friend, filmmaker Ondi Timoner, lost her house including her archive and all her video and editing equipment. Her brother David Timoner also lost his home in the same neighborhood. Links to their GoFundMe can be found here.
