I was really excited to hear of the West Coast release of Salad Days: A Decade of Punk in Washington DC 1980-1990. The early DC hardcore scene had a major influence on my work and life in general. Those who attended the shows during this seminal period will never forget their impact; most of us are still listening to these bands to this day and still drawing inspiration from their tenacious drive and timeless attitude.
