I’m a lifelong fan of the Beatles music, and I have also always been impressed with their charm and wit in interviews. I met Ringo Starr a couple of years ago, and I was delighted to find that he is quite charming and witty in person as well. I was very honored he would request for me to illustrate and design the cover of his book “Another Day In The Life,” which showcases a selection of Ringo’s photography. By the way, Ringo shot the cover of T. Rex’s album “The Slider,” which is one of my all-time favorite album covers.

GENESIS PUBLICATIONS PROUDLY ANNOUNCE “RINGO STARR: ANOTHER DAY IN THE LIFE” TO BE PUBLISHED THIS AUTUMN 2018
June 6, 2018 Paris France — Today Genesis Publications is excited to announce Another Day In The Life by Ringo Starr, to be published this autumn 2018. The third in Ringo’s series of books, following the sell-out success of Postcards From The Boys (2003) and Photograph (2013), will present a previously unpublished collection of his photographs, captioned with his own thoughts and anecdotes.
Reflecting his love of music, travel and nature, Another Day In The Life shows us the world as seen through Ringo’s eyes. From Los Angeles to Tokyo and everywhere in between, many of Ringo’s observational images celebrate the quirkiness of life. Other photographs are taken behind the scenes during historic events, such as Ringo’s acceptance of a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and his return to New York’s Plaza Hotel, 50 years after The Beatles first visited the USA. Joined by Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh and a host of All-Starr friends, in Another Day In The Life Ringo Starr shares personal moments from a legendary life in music, and offers a unique and inspiring look at the world around us.

“I love taking photos of random things, and seeing how they all fit together. Whether it is at home or on the road, certain things catch my eye – and when I see something that interests me, that’s the emotion of it, and I want to capture it. I am a photographer as well as a musician. I love working with Genesis and had so much fun putting this collection of images together, both taken by me + a few collected along the way. I hope you enjoy it too. Peace & love, Ringo”
Ringo revealed news of the book at a press conference today in Paris, France where he is kicking off his first European tour in 7 years at the L’Olympia in Paris with the latest iteration of his All Starr Band that features Steve Lukather, Gregg Rolie, with new member Graham Gouldman and returning All Starr alum, Colin Hay. Also in the band are Warren Ham and Greg Bissonnette. The tour travels around continental Europe and includes two shows in Israel. Ringo will also celebrate his 10th Annual Peace & Love Birthday July 7, 2018 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nice, France. Since the first celebration at the Hard Rock Café in Chicago in 2008, this will be the second one to take place in Europe, the last time was in Hamburg in 2011 (see below for more information).
In September Ringo and the All Starrs will embark on a tour throughout North America, dates are listed below.

About Ringo’s Peace & Love Birthdays:
On July 7, 2008, RINGO STARR joined fans, friends and family on the streets in front of Hard Rock Cafe Chicago to celebrate his birthday with a simple call to action: Inviting everyone everywhere to say, post #peaceandlove or even think “Peace & Love” at noon, their local time. Ten years later, Ringo’s dream of generating a wave of Peace & Love that spans the planet on July 7 starting at noon in New Zealand and ending at noon in Hawaii continues to unfold. Last year saw fans in over 23 countries join the movement – from New Zealand to Antarctica, Latin America to Asia, Hawaii and more. This year Ringo will be at the Hard Rock Café in Nice France. For those wanting to gather in locations around the world, check Ringo’s Facebook for gatherings and your local Hard Rock Café – which will play a video message from Ringo at Noon local time in their locations around the world.
