I just found out that Greg Escalante, co-founder of Juxtapoz Magazine, important Southern California gallerist, and my friend for almost 20 years passed away last night. Greg was instrumental in supporting and validating ‘lowbrow’ art including Neo-Surrealism, Kustom Culture, graffiti and street art, and surf and skate art. I’m incredibly grateful to Greg for his support of my work for many years and I’m sad to say the LA art scene will not be the same without him. We’ll miss you Greg!
