Philly ’96 Throwback

My friend Adam Wallacavage shot this on the grimy end of South St. in Philly in Jan 1996. Adam was one of the first good photographers to think my work was worth documenting (thanks Adam). The posters, from ’95, are the first use of OBEY on a print, inspired by the movie “They Live”. I only made those as street pasters, so unfortunately I didn’t save any. That’s my version of the story, but for the truth, you’ll have to find and interview Larry!⁠
