Los Angeles: In honor of George Harrison’s birthday and the release of “I Me Mine” (Extended Edition), Genesis Publications is hosting a pop-up exhibition and sale at my gallery Subliminal Projects this Sunday, February 26 from 12pm-6pm. The exhibition will include George Harrison’s handwritten lyrics and personal commentary on his songs, pictures from family albums, and original portraits I created of him.
Framed prints and books by artists including Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono, Ronnie Wood, and Sir Peter Blake are available to purchase. A special “I Me Mine” package has been created for the exhibition, consisting of the new book, a poster and book bag; the first 100 customers to purchase the book will receive a signed copy by me!
“I Me Mine” first appeared as a limited edition in 1980, and in hardback in 1981. Since then, various editions have followed. Now, for the first time, “I Me Mine” (Extended Edition) covers George Harrison’s songwriting from 1962-2001.
I hope to see you at Subliminal! For details, please email info@subliminalprojects.com or visit SubliminalProjects.com.
