I was honored to be asked to write a new foreword for the Keith Haring Journals. I’ve always admired Haring on many levels and I think he paved the way for the current crop of street artists who have crossed into the galleries and other areas of consumer culture. These journals demonstrate Haring’s intellect, drive, and humanity. I highly recommend checking this updated edition out. I will be including a fine art portrait of Haring based on a great photo by Patrick McMullan in my Deitch projects show opening May 1. There may be a screen print edition of the image as well. Stay tuned.
