My crew and I just completed what is now the largest art mural in Las Vegas on the side of the Plaza Hotel & Casino. The mural titled, “Cultivate Harmony,” is meant to have decorative appeal, as well as remind people that peace and harmony with each other and the planet itself are the only way to maintain what sustains us. The mural is 17 or 18 stories high and visible from many vantage points in Downtown, Las Vegas. While working on a piece this scale is already grueling, Vegas’ unusually cold and windy weather took a serious toll on us for 5 out of 6 of the days we were working. I’d like to thank the owners of the Plaza, the Zabludowicz family, for facilitating this project, as well as the folks from the Justkids creative agency and the Life is Beautiful festival for their support. I’m very grateful for the hard work of Nic Bowers, Dan Flores, and Rob Zagula who assisted me. Thank you also to Jon Furlong for documenting the progress and to Charlotte Dutoit, Kat Heberson, and the Justkids team for producing the project and making these great videos!
