“Fire Sale” Mural in Seattle, WA

October 12, 2018

Here is the completed “Fire Sale” mural in Seattle. This piece is a comment on the challenges any individual faces pushing for environmental and climate responsibility, especially when confronted with the massive power of fossil fuel industries whose short-sighted, profit-driven tactics include lobbying and bribing politicians who are supposed to work for the citizenry. The term “fire sale” means the liquidation of goods damaged in a fire, or it can mean a rush to sell off inventory before a bankruptcy. Thank you to my crew of assistants Nic Bowers, Rob Zagula and Luka Densmore. Thanks Patrick_J_Foley and everyone at The State Hotel and Lake Union Partners. I’m grateful to have a large mural across from the historic Pike Place Market that is visited by millions of people per year and is one of the first places I did street art in Seattle 20 years ago. Thanks for caring!
