The recession has people in this country frustrated and looking for scapegoats. The Democrats, as the president’s party/party in power, have recently been the victims of American’s frustrations and a “throw the bums out” mentality. With the mid-term election cycle and its circus of distorted ads and over-simplified talking points now concluded, let’s let the dust settle and take a sober look at what Obama is really doing and/or has done so far. I’m not completely happy with Obama’s performance by any means, but I agree with neither the left wingers who say Obama is a traitor or Manchurian candidate, or the right wingers who claim Obama is a socialist, Muslim, over spender. I do think Obama has been in a tough spot. One of the problems is that many people don’t have a deep understanding of what Obama is doing. Information is important to a critical analysis.
