Studio Number One has designed the artwork for the premiere installment of ADstruc’s outdoor “Billboards for Everyone” campaign which “aggregates and simplifies the outdoor media buying process so that anyone can use the system and afford space.” The project is be co-ordinated by BA Reps, Spread ArtCulture Magazine, and JWT in New York.
Each month throughout 2011, ADstruc will collaborate with artists to create one-off pieces of art on outdoor advertising space with an emphasis on relating to the environment and the use of experimental techniques.
The first artwork by Studio Number One designer Cleon Peterson is currently installed on the Santan Freeway Loop 202 in Arizona and pays playful tribute to the State’s “nativist” opposition to their hardworking brothers-from-across-the-border.
