My book 3 DECADES OF DISSENT is now available on my web store. It’s a retrospective of my work from the past 30 years. The book was specifically designed for Wunderkammern that showcased my work at the Gallery of Modern Art in Rome, Italy also featuring 30 new works.
Even though my artwork has evolved throughout the years, I think a lot of the principles that drive my work have stayed the same. The art that I chose in 3 DECADES OF DISSENT are images that I felt were important steps in my growth and also images that I never made as fine art prints. It’s been exciting for me to revisit a lot of the older things and see subtle ways that I can improve my work while also transmitting the message and the aesthetics that hold up through the years.
I feel very lucky that through my 30 plus years, I’ve maintained an outsider spirit. I sympathize and empathize with the underdog. Even though I may not be an underdog anymore, I’m applying everything I’ve learned to that same mentality through the spirit of punk rock. Us versus the world. It’s still very alive in my heart and drives what I’m doing. Thanks for caring!
