Art and all forms of creativity provide valuable therapy anytime, but especially during times of stress and social isolation. I hope that this sketchbook from Library Street Collective will provide a positive, creative outlet in this time of uncertainty.

Library Street Collective – with the generous support of Standby Detroit – will be providing free dinners and unique sketchbooks to Detroit Public Schools students in need beginning March 23rd.
Art can provide inspiration in difficult times, and in hearing about this initiative, many artists have offered their creativity to the cause. Students will receive a limited edition of “WE ALL RISE,” a new sketchbook that is filled with works by Virgil Abloh, Nina Chanel Abney, Doug Aitken, Daniel Arsham, McArthur Binion, Amoako Boafo, Nick Cave, Dabls, Torkwase Dyson, Conrad Egyir, Shepard Fairey, Sam Friedman, Beverly Fishman, Friends With You, Haroshi, Carole Harris, KAWS, Eddie Martinez, Tiff Massey, Charles McGee, Allie McGhee, Simphiwe Ndzube, Jordan Nickel, José Parlá, Jason REVOK, Julia Wachtel, Austyn Weiner, Wendy White, and Tyrrell Winston.
Food will be prepared and distributed through the support of Detroit-based non-profits Forgotten Harvest and The Downtown Boxing Gym. Learn more about this project here.
