On April 25th, 2014, the city of Flint, Michigan switched their city’s water supply from the Great Lakes Water Authority to the highly corrosive Flint River. As a result, the Flint residents staged protests over the last three years to expose the politicians responsible for the disastrous change. With the help of local residents and the work of veteran news reporters like the ACLU of Michigan‘s Curt Guyette, the Flint Water crisis was brought into the national spotlight; however, it’s been three years and not much has changed.
To mark the three year anniversary of the switch over, 1xRUN is releasing an ongoing print series to help benefit the city of Flint. Both 1xRUN and each artist in the series will be donating a portion of the proceeds from all print releases to the ACLU of Michigan and the Flint Kids Foundation.
The first artist featured in this series is legendary political activist and artist Robbie Conal. Head to news.1xRUN.com now to purchase the print and learn how you can contribute to this incredible cause. Stay tuned for more information on my release that’s coming soon.
