The Joe Strummer Foundation has released its first ever fundraising album in time for Strummer’s birthday (August 21)! “Strummerville A Go-Go #001″ contains 17 tracks, all donated by independent artist such as: Ranking Rogers, Armchair Committee, Kamino, Astrid’s Tea Party, Alexandra Jayne, Bill Mountain, Young Offenders, LazyTalk, Bare Hunter, Bella Figura, Noel O’Brien, Ballin’ Jacks, One Eyed Wayne, Thee Deadtime Philharmonic, Gemma Rogers & The Milmen, Bless & The New Thieves. The album is leading with a brand new re-working of The Clash track “Rock The Casbah” by Ranking Roger (The Beat).
