The Peace Tree Mural marks the commencement of Shepard Fairey’s eight city mural tour. The Line Hotel in Koreatown is a renovated mid-century modern building that was designed by Daniel Mann Johnson & Mendenhall, the same architects behind the historic American Cement building down Wilshire Blvd, sits alongside Koreatown’s famous pre-1940 brick colonial revival buildings and houses Roy Choi’s new restaurant, Pot. Check out this video that brings perspective from the street, rooftops and alongside Shepard on the scaffolding as he and the crew spray paint the 30’ x 80’ tall mural, blending his iconic style with the city’s surroundings.
