I have been receiving a lot of correspondence about the Invisible Children KONY video in which I appear briefly. Though I oppose injustice in any form, and therefore I support the message of the video, I was not consulted about the video which uses footage from my appearance on THE HENRY ROLLINS SHOW. I have no direct relationship with Invisible Children. I am concerned about what is happening in Uganda(and Darfur and many other areas of turmoil in the world). I have worked with L.E.A.D. Uganda to raise money for schools there. I’m glad Invisible Children is spreading awareness about Kony and the children he abducts to turn into child soldiers. These injustices need to be combated and encouraging people to use the democratic and creative tools at their disposal is a great thing. I cannot vouch for Invisible Children as an organization other than to say that I really like the spirit and effort behind this video. I did not design the Kony poster in the video, but I think a lot of the graphics in the video are well designed and effective. Check it out for yourself, I hope it encourages compassion and further action for social justice.
