Smokey Robinson x Shepard Print Collaboration
To commemorate Smokey Robinson’s 50 years of music, Smokey and Shepard Fairey have just put their signatures on two limited edition prints created by Fairey. The limited edition prints will be released to coincide with Smokey’s Keynote Address in Austin at SXSW Festival on March 18th. There will be two print editions available in two different colorways and will be made available in person March 18th at the SXSW Festival’s Flatstock Poster Show and the Obey Giant Store. Smokey will make a special appearance at the Flatstock booth to celebrate the release and has a concert scheduled for the following evening at the festival’s Austin Music Hall venue.

LA Marathon 25 Years x SNO Print
Limited-edition Studio Number One Poster Commemorates 25th Honda LA Marathon
Artist Cleon Peterson designed the commemorative poster, which not only includes three L.A.- area icons, but also the start of one of the largest marathons in the world and 2009 women’s champion Tatiana Petrova of Russia. The poster is composed of high-contrast images brightly colored in blue, red and black on a white background and is signed by the artist. Its a numbered edition of 1,050, priced at $45 each (not including sales tax) and $5 from each purchase will be donated to the Students Run LA program which helps to train at-risk youth to reach higher goals in life through the discipline of training for the race. While they last, posters will be available for purchase at the K-Swiss Concept Store at 2427 Main Street in Santa Monica and at the Studio Number One booth at the free-admission LA Marathon Expo to be held next Friday and Saturday at Dodger Stadium.

Compassion (His Holiness The Dalai Lama)
We’re thrilled to be wishing a very special 75th birthday to His Holiness the Dalai Lama this year. In honor of this Diamond year, and in recognition of March 10th being Tibetan Independence Day, Shepard has created a limited-edition print of His Holiness. The work is based on an image taken by renowned photographer/documentarian Don Farber, who has spent more than 30 years covering the Tibetan leader and community in exile.
Says Shepard: “I’ve always had great admiration for His Holiness and his non-violent approach to the plight of the Tibetan people. When I was approached with the opportunity to work with this beautiful image as a sanctioned source and create a work that evokes the Dalai Lama’s presence as I feel it, I was thrilled. I hope His Holiness remains a presence of compassion in the world for many birthdays to come!”

Wall Street’s Bailout Hustle
