PAY 2 PLAY HITS THE STREETS!

September 04, 2014

I have frequently talked about the many problems created by the current campaign finance structure.  Corporate donations distort their influence in politics and corrupt our democracy.  This is an issue not many Americans seem interested in, but it effects all Americans by insuring that corporate interests are put before the interests of the average person.  Genuine democracy should guarantee that politicians create the greatest good for the greatest number of people, but that idea has eroded with the favors owed by politicians to corporations in exchange for their contributions.

Please support my friend John Wellington Ennis’ film PAY 2 PLAY opening in select cities this month.

At long last, here we come!  PAY 2 PLAY hits theaters this month in New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Dallas, and Columbus!  We are so proud to share this film, and deeply grateful to friends like you that supported us through this journey!

Los Angeles — Laemmle’s NoHo 7, Sept. 12-18
Washington, D.C. — Angelika Pop-Up, Sept. 12-18

We will have special guests speakers at many screenings, so please check our website for listings and info!  We also look forward to screening at the Global Peace Film Festival in Orlando, FL, on Sept. 19 & 20!

Our advance screenings went great and the feedback has been enthusiastic:

“PAY 2 PLAY is the best documentary about speaking truth to power since The Big Lebowski” — John Nichols (The Nation, MSNBC)

“A stirring plea to level the playing field in our political system” — Utne Reader

“A Must-Watch Film!” — Shockwave, Daily Kos

We had an amazing green carpet premiere in Westwood — see what our audience had to say!

We will be releasing the film later this year digitally and on DVD, but the theatrical run is still a very important measure for how seriously this documentary is taken by press, the film industry, the Academy, and others.  Please spread the word and encourage friends to check this film out in theaters!

Our work begins!

Thank you for all you do,
