11th HOUR Campaign
I wanted to write a long explanation of why I’m doing this print to help promote the movie the 11th Hour and to generate funds for the 11thhouraction.com. Unfortunately, I’m short on time and so is planet Earth as we know it. Basically the film expands on the Earth crisis explained in an Inconvenient Truth. Global warming, deforestation, pollution, dependence on petroleum, and over -population. The film puts these issues in frightening perspective but also shows there are solutions. Skip the next Rob Sneider movie and to see the 11th Hour and you’ll be both avoiding pollution and educating yourself about it. If you won’t do it for yourself, do it for MY kid! Thanks

Shepard on Ovation TV
During our stay in NYC, the Jonathan Levine Gallery was great enough to hook us up with tons of press and interviews. One of the bonuses of the exposure was a feature on Ovation TV. They got some great footage of the artwork and the DUMBO exhibition. Mark the date to see how it all went down.
“Art or Not” will air this Friday online at 12 PM PST at www.ovationtv.com in case you want to add it to your blog (it will air on Ovation TV, DIRECTV Channel 274 August 12th). Here’s some further info about the show (below).
The Ovation TV original special, “Art or Not?” (Sunday, August 12, 8 PM ET/PT ) is a one-hour exploration of a question that’s entertained, frustrated and inflamed passionate – and even casual — art lovers forever: “Is ‘it’ art, or is ‘it’ not art?” The special will showcase artists from the edges of the art spectrum to gain insight into what makes people passionate — and highly opinionated — about a broad range of visual art.

Rock The Bells!!!
Chuck ‘n’ Flav of Public Enemy joined by Scott Ian of Anthrax doing “Bring the Noise”. Note that Scott is rockin’ Obey while he’s rockin’ the bells. Chuck just asked me to do an Obey art and clothing Public Enemy collaboration commemorating the 20th anniversary of “It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back” which I consider to be the best and most important hip hop album of all time. Additionally, Glen E. Friedman who shot the album cover as well as other genre defining photos of hip hop, skateboarding, and punk rock, has allowed me to use one of his shots of P.E. to illustrate from. This is going to be an awesome project… look out for updates.
